dabada is an exhibition project founded by Yasunori Kawamatsu and Nobuyuki Yamamoto, rooted in the concept of dada + ba (“place”). It began in 2010 with an intimate exhibition at a friend’s home, and over the years connected artists, people, and places across Japan, China, Korea, Scotland, and Taiwan. By the time the project went on hiatus in 2015, it had realized 18 exhibitions. In 2024, dabada resumed its activities with a renewed approach—forming a dedicated about for each project and engaging in collaborative creation as an evolving platform for dialogue and artistic exchange.
